Elisey Pronin is a pastor, preacher, author, and head of the Church Planting Department at the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary.
Elisey was born in 1978 in Pervomaisk, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. He came to faith in God at the age of 18.
In 1998, he began serving as a youth pastor and preacher.
In 2001, he graduated from the Institute for the Training of Church Ministers in Irpin and was ordained to the diaconal ministry.
In 2005, after graduating from the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary in Lviv, he became the senior pastor of the Vozrozhdenie Church in Pervomaisk.
In 2014, when hostilities began in eastern Ukraine, Elisey found himself at the center of the conflict. He actively participated in evacuating residents of Pervomaisk and organizing camps for refugees and displaced people. Following the occupation of his hometown, he and his family moved to the United States.
In 2015, convinced of his calling to return to Ukraine and continue serving the Ukrainian people, Elisey returned to Ukraine with his wife and children. Together, they began planting a new church in Lviv, the Church of the Disciples of Jesus Christ.
He holds a master’s degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Today, Elisey serves as head of the Church Planting Department at the Ukrainian Baptist Theological Seminary and as senior pastor of the newly established church.
