John Piper is a preaching pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, attended Wheaton College, where he first felt God’s call to ministry. Thereafter, he received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and a Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Munich, Germany. For six years he taught Bible study at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and in 1980 accepted an invitation to become pastor of Bethlehem Church.
John Piper has written over 30 books. John and his wife Noelle have four sons, one daughter and a growing number of grandchildren.
