Dave Loewen is the founder of the CCI ministry in the CIS countries and serves as a CCI consultant. After earning a Bachelor of Theology degree and, shortly thereafter, a teaching degree in history, Dave unexpectedly became the director of the large Arnes Christian camp, where he served for 30 years.
During his years as camp director, he also held a number of leadership positions, including President of the Manitoba Camping Association, President of the Manitoba Association for Christian Education, President of CCI Canada, and Secretary of the International Camping Fellowship.
Since 1990, Dave and Elfrida Loewen have served throughout the former Soviet Union, helping to develop Christian camping ministries. Together, they are the authors of six books on organizing and conducting Christian camps and have been longtime instructors at CCI seminars and conferences.
Dave's teaching is characterized by fresh thinking, keen insight, extensive practical experience, and a strong spiritual foundation. In his classes, he seeks not only to present the prepared material but also to respond to the needs and expectations of those who attend his courses.
