Carlos Ray «Chuck» Norris is known as the star of action films, but he considers himself humanitarian work to be his highest achievement. Along with partnerships with organizations such as United Way, Make a Wish, and the Veterans Affairs Administration, Chuck is the founder and organizer of the KICK-START Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children build self-esteem and cultivate discipline.
Chuck Norris became one of the first stars of show business to support the ban on gay marriage in California. The actor accused gay activists of replacing democracy with a policy of double standards: supporters of same-sex marriage openly criticized the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but at the same time avoided criticizing African Americans, who, for the most part, voted for the ban.
Chuck lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Gina and children.
