Caspar Olevian

Caspar Olevian is a co-author of the Heidelberg Catechism. He was educated at various French universities. In 1559 he began to lecture in Trier founded the Evangelical community, thus was persecuted and had to go to Heidelberg. Together with Ursin, under the patronage of Frederick III, Olevian organized the Evangelical Church in the Palatinate.
