Max Lucado

Max Lucado touches millions of hearts with his stories, written in a unique style. Max is the first author to win the Gold Medallion for Best Christian Book of the Year in 1999 for Like Jesus, in 1997 for Under the Reign of Grace, and in 1995 for When God Whispers Your Name. In 2005, Readers' Digest declared him "America's Greatest Preacher." In addition, he was a Gold Medallion finalist in the ECPA (Evangelical Christian Publishers Association) as the author with the most book titles than anyone else in the industry.

In 1994, he became the only author to have 11 of the 12 books appearing simultaneously on the back covers of books on bestseller lists recommended for children and adults to read. Lucado broke a new record in the Christian Booksellers Association hardcover category in March and April 1997. Max Lucado has consistently topped the national bestseller lists every month for nearly twelve years now. His name has also appeared in Publisher's Weekly, USA Today, and The New York Times bestseller list. He has won eight Gold Medallion awards at the ECPA.

In addition to the above, Lucado has won numerous awards for the best children's book, in particular for the titles "In Case You Worry", "The Lame Lamb", "Angel's Song" and the most popular story "You're Special". He also served as Editor-in-Chief in the production of the best-selling Bible Study from Lucado and The Book of God's Inspirational Promises.

Max serves as Senior Minister at Oak Hills in San Antonio, Texas. But he says of himself that his most important achievement in life is that he found a woman who can be found only one in a million, his wife Denalin, with whom they have three beautiful daughters: Jenna, Andrea and Sarah.
